Carol and I had the opportunity to visit Glacier National Park in Montana in September, 2004. Carol took a photography course with the Olympic Mountain School of Photography where they photographed animals at the Triple D Game Farm in Kalispell, MT. Jim met her as the class ended, and they spent a week in Kalispell, Whitefish and Glacier National Park. We stayed at the Hidden Moose Lodge in Whitefish. The lodge is not too far from the Big Mountain Ski Resort. The moose must have been well hidden, we did not see a single one!

Our first adventure was to the National Bison Range in Moiese, MT, about 90 miles south of Kalispell. Here we saw bison at close range, also pronghorn, mule deer and an elk. Jim saw a golden eagle but could not get his camera ready in time to watch it fly off.

At the park, we saw bighorn sheep, mountain goats, mule deer, one bear and one rabbit.

Montana was Jim's 46th state to visit!
